Now that the only Couture jersey in the 2011 NHL Playoffs is no longer on the ice (Logan Couture), and the Vancouver Canucks play their first game of the Finals tonight (for the first time in 17 years!) I thought I’d make a few new “couture” replacements for the next games for the Stanley Cup Finals. This is a different kind of dream dress than I usually would make, but the dream that it represents is a big one!

They did it! Now on to the Finals!

I still can’t believe that I’m actually spending time making jerseys to wear to watch the games, but it’s hard not to be sucked into the hockey culture living in Vancouver. You can’t escape it. So you might as well join the fun!

Why I like Sami Salo: He's a great player and he's Finnish!

It was during the Vancouver Olympics that I really became a fan of Hockey. I was lucky to be at the last game, and when Canada won Gold and Finland got Bronze, it was a magical moment. I’m hoping to celebrate like that again very soon!
