Fabric and trims

Fabrics and trims are sourced locally, nationally, as well as internationally, depending on the design. Custom bridesmaid and flower girl dresses can be made even more one of a kind with handmade details such as beading and embroidery.

The production philosophy is based on ethical manufacturing and green choices.

Every dress is made with love in Vancouver, Canada.

The design process

For a custom dress we start with an initial consultation, where we get to know what you are looking for. We discuss likes and dislikes, venue, and budget. The goal is to create a dress that will compliment both your dress and theme of wedding, as well as your  bridesmaids and/ or flower girl’s individual style, personality, and body type. From there sketches are created and fabrics and trims are selected.  A design package is then presented, where the final design will be confirmed.  From there a mock up is usually created and fitted, and then the dress is made in the actual fabric. If the design is straight forward enough, the mock up is not required.

How long will it take?

For a custom bridesmaid or flower girl dress, on 1-2 fittings are typically needed. Please allow 2-3 months to have a dress made. It may be finished faster than this, but it all depends on the complexity of the style,  and the availability of the  bridesmaid or flower girl to come in for a fitting. Rush orders are sometimes possible with a premium.

How much is it?

The cost depends on what you are having made, the complexity of the design, as well as fabric and embellishment choice. Prices are based on time involved plus materials. For more information or to book a consultation please contact Hannah.
