Custom Design Couture for Grad/ Prom
The custom design couture service is for the grad who wants to wear a dress that is designed and constructed exclusively for her, and wants to be involved with the creation while enjoying the process.
It’s fun and easy to get a dress made at the Little Pink Dress atelier. You can relax and enjoy treats while you have your consultation and fittings. You are more than welcome to bring friends and family and make it a fashion party!
Custom dresses vary from style to style as they are exclusively made for each client, but what they have in common is exquisite craftsmanship, beautiful fabrics and style, and the ability to make the wearer always feel like the life of the party.
Fabric and trims
Fabrics and trims are sourced locally, nationally, as well as internationally for you, ensuring perfect style and quality for your design.
Custom dresses and head pieces can be made even more one of a kind with handmade details such as beading and embroidery. The production philosophy is based on ethical manufacturing and green choices. Every dress is made in Vancouver, with the love and passion for design.
The design process
For a custom dress we start with an initial consultation, where we get to know what you are looking for. The goal is to create a dress that will compliment your individual style, personality, body type and budget. From there sketches are created and fabrics and trims are sourced. A design package is then presented, where the final design will be selected. From there a mock up is created and fitted, and then the dress is made in the actual fabric.
How long will it take?
For a custom dress you will be required to come in for 2-3 fittings. Please allow 2-3 months to have a dress made. Rush orders are sometimes possible with a premium.
How much is it?
The cost depends on what you are having made, the complexity of the design, as well as fabric and embellishment choice. Prices are based on time involved plus materials. For more information or to book a consultation please contact Hannah.
